Sklar Stitch Scissors, Angled
An angled 4-1/2 inch scissors used to cut and remove sutures cleanly, commonly used during wound checks and post-operative follow up care.
The Sklar Stitch Scissors is a small instrument made specifically for cutting sutures rather than tissue. Its angled blade lets the clinician slide the lower blade flat under the suture close to the knot without lifting the skin, so the stitch can be cut cleanly and pulled free without discomfort or damage to healing tissue.
At four and a half inches, it is compact enough for close, controlled work at the bedside or in an outpatient clinic. Instruments of this type are used across nearly every clinical setting where sutures are placed and later removed, including surgical wards, outpatient clinics, general practice and emergency departments.
Nurses and doctors performing suture removal after surgery or wound closure are the primary users. As a reusable stainless steel instrument, it is cleaned and sterilized between patients following the facility's standard protocol for minor procedure instruments, and is typically kept as a dedicated tool separate from tissue cutting scissors.
