Sklar Stille Kidney Clamp, 9-1/4 Inch
A 9-1/4 inch clamp used to control the renal pedicle or kidney tissue, giving urologic surgeons secure occlusion during kidney surgery.
The Sklar Stille Kidney Clamp is built to occlude or hold kidney tissue and the surrounding vascular pedicle during renal surgery. At nine and a quarter inches, it offers enough length to reach the kidney within the retroperitoneal space while the surgeon maintains control from a safe working distance.
Clamps of this pattern are used in nephrectomy, partial nephrectomy and other open urologic procedures where blood flow to or from the kidney needs to be temporarily controlled, or where the organ itself needs to be held steady during dissection. Urologic surgeons and their assisting teams in hospital operating theatres rely on this instrument as a standard component of the renal surgery tray.
As a reusable stainless steel instrument, it is cleaned, inspected and steam sterilized between cases following the same reprocessing pathway as other vascular and general clamps used in the same surgical sets.
