Sklar Metzenbaum-Lahey Scissors, Straight Delicate
A delicate dissecting scissors combining Metzenbaum and Lahey design features, used for fine tissue cutting during general surgery.
The Sklar Metzenbaum-Lahey Dissecting Scissors combines features from two established scissors patterns to create an instrument suited to fine dissection work, particularly where a slightly different blade or handle balance is preferred over a standard Metzenbaum scissors. Like other instruments in this family, it is used to dissect and separate finer tissue, such as fascia, small vessels and connective tissue, and its blunt/blunt tip allows for blunt spreading of tissue planes as well as sharp cutting when the surgeon needs to divide tissue precisely.
The delicate profile refines the blade further for especially fine work, common in general, gynaecological and plastic surgery wherever careful tissue handling is a priority. This row measures 4-1/2 inches, straight, delicate, and the listing covers six variants spanning two lengths, straight and curved blades, and standard and delicate profiles, giving surgical teams a range of closely related options within one product family.
As with other Sklar surgical instruments, it is manufactured from surgical stainless steel for repeated sterilisation and use.
