Sklar Metzenbaum Fine Scissors
A fine version of the Metzenbaum pattern used for delicate tissue dissection and cutting where extra precision is needed.
The Sklar Metzenbaum Fine Scissors takes the well established Metzenbaum design and refines it further for surgical work that demands even greater precision than the standard pattern provides. As with the classic Metzenbaum scissors, it is built for dissecting and cutting finer tissue such as fascia, small vessels and connective tissue rather than the tougher material a Mayo scissors is intended for, and its blades can be used for blunt spreading of tissue planes as well as sharp cutting.
The finer build is suited to specialties where the tissue being handled is especially delicate or where the surgical field is small, such as certain plastic, ophthalmic adjacent or paediatric procedures. Surgeons across these fields keep a fine scissors of this type available alongside standard Metzenbaum instruments for the moments when extra delicacy matters most.
This listing covers three units in this fine configuration. As with other Sklar surgical instruments, it is manufactured from surgical stainless steel for repeated sterilisation and use.
