Sklar Merit Nose and Ear Grooming Shears, Safety Tips
A 4-3/4 inch straight shear with rounded safety tips, used to trim fine hair from the nose and ear area during routine animal grooming sessions.
The Sklar Merit Nose and Ear Grooming Shears is a small, precise cutting instrument used to trim fine hair growing around a pet's nose and inside or around the ear, an area that requires extra care given how close the blades work to sensitive tissue. Measuring 4-3/4 inches with a straight blade pattern, the shears are fitted with rounded safety tips to reduce the risk of accidental injury if the animal moves suddenly during the trim.
The blue finger pads on the handle provide a comfortable, secure grip and help the groomer identify this shear quickly among a set of similarly sized grooming tools. Note that this listing is sold as a single shear rather than a pair. Instruments of this kind are used by professional groomers and veterinary grooming staff as part of routine coat maintenance, particularly for breeds prone to excess facial hair that can otherwise irritate the eyes or obstruct vision.
Constructed from stainless steel, the shears hold a fine cutting edge through repeated grooming sessions and can be cleaned between animals. They are typically stocked in professional grooming kits.
