Sklar Merit Canine Grooming Shears, 8-1/2 in
A Sklar Merit canine grooming shears, 8-1/2 inches, straight with a tension dial and ergonomic finger rest, used to trim a dog's coat during grooming.
Grooming shears are used to trim and shape a dog's coat, and this Sklar Merit version measures 8-1/2 inches with a straight blade, an adjustable tension dial that lets the user fine tune blade resistance, and purple finger pads with an ergonomic finger rest that support a comfortable grip during extended grooming sessions.
It is one of five variants in this listing, giving veterinary groomers and clinical staff a choice of shears suited to their hand size or grooming preference. Shears of this kind are used in veterinary clinics, grooming salons and animal care facilities wherever a controlled, even trim is needed on a dog's coat, whether for routine maintenance or pre-surgical clipping.
The tension dial allows the operator to adjust how the blades close against each other, which affects cutting smoothness and blade longevity over repeated use. It should be cleaned and maintained between uses following standard grooming equipment hygiene practices.
