Sklar Merit Adson Tissue Forceps, Standard, 1x2
A Sklar Merit Adson tissue forceps, 4-3/4 inches, straight with 1x2 teeth and smooth jaws in the standard profile, used to grasp tissue during surgery.
This Sklar Merit Adson tissue forceps is built to the standard profile, distinguishing it from the delicate version also carried in this range, and measures 4-3/4 inches with a straight shape, 1x2 interlocking teeth and smooth jaws behind the tip. The standard build carries a sturdier construction than the delicate version, making it suited to general tissue handling where a slightly firmer grip and heavier build is preferred over the finer delicate option.
As one of the most common forceps patterns used in surgery, the Adson tissue forceps is reached for repeatedly throughout a procedure by surgeons across general, plastic and reconstructive specialties, whether for dissection, positioning tissue during closure or holding tissue steady while suturing.
Its 1x2 tooth pattern is designed to interlock and hold tissue securely with less slippage than smooth jaws alone would allow. It should be cleaned and sterilised between uses following standard surgical instrument reprocessing protocols.
