Sklar McHenry Tonsil Artery Forceps, Curved
A slightly curved forceps with open finger rings, used to grasp tonsillar tissue, control small vessels or hold sponges during ENT surgery.
The Sklar McHenry Tonsil Artery/Sponge Holding Forceps serves a dual role during tonsillectomy and related ENT procedures, able to clamp small bleeding vessels in the tonsillar bed as well as hold a sponge or pledget for pressure haemostasis or field cleaning within the confined space of the oropharynx.
The slightly curved jaw gives the surgeon a better approach angle around the curved anatomy of the tonsillar fossa than a straight instrument would allow, while the open finger ring handle provides a familiar, stable grip for the surgeon throughout the procedure. ENT surgeons use this pattern as a standard part of the tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy instrument tray, often reaching for it repeatedly during a single case for both vessel control and sponge handling.
It measures 8 inches overall. This listing is a single configuration. As with other Sklar surgical instruments, it is manufactured from surgical stainless steel for repeated sterilisation and use.
