Sklar McClintock Ovum Forceps, 9-1/2 Inch
A gynaecological forceps used to grasp and remove tissue or products of conception from within the uterine cavity.
The Sklar McClintock Ovum Forceps is used in gynaecological procedures, such as evacuation of retained products of conception or related uterine procedures, to reach into the uterine cavity and grasp tissue that needs to be removed. The forceps' shape and jaw design are intended to give the clinician a secure hold on tissue within a confined internal space, while its overall length allows access to the uterine cavity through the cervix without requiring a wider surgical opening.
This instrument is used by gynaecologists and obstetricians in operating theatres and outpatient procedure settings where uterine evacuation or similar procedures are performed. It measures 9-1/2 inches overall. This listing is a single configuration. As with other Sklar surgical instruments, it is manufactured from surgical stainless steel and, given its use within the uterine cavity, must be thoroughly cleaned and sterilised between each patient in line with standard gynaecological instrument reprocessing protocols.
