Sklar Mayo-Noble-Stille Scissors, Straight
A straight, robust dissecting scissors used for general tissue cutting and blunt dissection during surgical procedures.
The Sklar Mayo-Noble-Stille Dissecting Scissors is another variation within the Mayo family of general surgical scissors, built for cutting through fascia, muscle sheath and thicker suture material that requires a stronger blade than a fine dissecting scissors provides. Its straight blade design gives a direct cutting path, useful when working along a relatively linear tissue plane during general surgical dissection or closure.
As a general purpose instrument, this pattern is used across a wide range of surgical specialties wherever a sturdy scissors is called for rather than a delicate one suited to fine tissue. Surgeons and scrub staff keep this pattern on general instrument trays as a standard cutting tool alongside Metzenbaum and other dissecting scissors patterns intended for finer work.
It measures 6-1/2 inches overall, and this listing includes two units of the same configuration. As with other Sklar surgical instruments, it is manufactured from surgical stainless steel and intended for repeated cleaning and sterilisation between procedures.
