Sklar Lovelace Gall Bladder Forceps, Straight
A grasping forceps used to hold and manipulate the gallbladder and biliary structures during cholecystectomy procedures.
The Sklar Lovelace Gall Bladder Forceps is designed to grasp the gallbladder securely so the surgeon can manipulate and retract it while dissecting it free during a cholecystectomy or other biliary procedure. A confident grip on the gallbladder wall is important because the tissue can be thin and slippery, and this pattern's jaws are shaped to hold it without excessive crushing while allowing the surgeon to reposition it as the dissection progresses toward the cystic duct and artery.
General surgeons and hepatobiliary specialists use this instrument during open biliary surgery, typically alongside dissecting scissors, clip appliers and other gallbladder specific instruments. This listing covers both an angled and a straight configuration across two sizes, seven and eight inches, giving surgeons a choice of curvature and reach depending on the surgical approach and the patient's anatomy.
As with other Sklar surgical instruments, it is made from surgical grade stainless steel and intended for repeated use following standard cleaning and sterilisation between procedures.
