Sklar LiteGrip TC Adson-Brown Tissue Forceps
A straight, side-grasping tissue forceps with tungsten carbide 7x7 teeth and a lightweight fenestrated handle for fine tissue work.
The Sklar LiteGrip Tungsten Carbide Adson-Brown Tissue Forceps is a fine tissue forceps built around the well known Adson-Brown pattern, with side-grasping 7x7 teeth that hold delicate tissue securely with minimal crushing force. The jaw inserts are tungsten carbide, a harder material than standard stainless steel that keeps the teeth sharp through repeated sterilisation cycles, and a cross-serrated tying platform behind the teeth assists with suture handling.
The handle uses Sklar's LiteGrip fenestrated design, which reduces the weight and bulk of the instrument in the surgeon's hand during long procedures. This pattern is widely used in plastic surgery, general surgery and any specialty where careful, atraumatic handling of skin and soft tissue matters, letting surgeons position and approximate tissue edges without excessive trauma.
It measures 4-3/4 inches overall and is supplied straight. As a tungsten carbide instrument, it should be identified and reprocessed according to the practice's protocol for TC instruments to protect the carbide inserts.
