Sklar Fehland Intestinal Clamp, Finger Ring Ratchet
A nine inch intestinal clamp with a finger ring and ratchet, used to occlude and hold bowel tissue securely during abdominal surgical procedures.
The Sklar Fehland Intestinal Clamp is used to occlude a section of bowel during intestinal and abdominal surgery, controlling the passage of contents and reducing spillage while the surgeon works on resection, anastomosis or repair of the affected segment. Its finger ring handle with a locking ratchet lets the surgeon set and maintain a fixed degree of closure across the tissue without continuing to apply hand pressure, freeing that hand for other tasks during the procedure.
At nine inches in length, it offers the reach needed to work across the width of the bowel and within the depth of the abdominal cavity. Intestinal clamps of this kind are standard equipment on general and gastrointestinal surgery trays, used by surgeons and their assistants during bowel resection, colostomy formation and related procedures where a temporary, controlled occlusion of the bowel wall is required.
Manufactured in stainless steel, it is designed for the repeated cleaning and sterilisation cycles typical of hospital instrument processing and for continued reuse across many surgical cases.
