Sklar Edge TC Kaye Dissecting Scissors, Curved
A five and three quarter inch curved tungsten carbide scissors used for fine tissue dissection during plastic and reconstructive surgery.
The Sklar Edge Kaye Dissecting Scissors is a curved scissors built with tungsten carbide cutting edges, giving it a sharper, longer-lasting blade than a plain stainless steel equivalent used for the same repeated dissection work. The Kaye pattern is associated with plastic and reconstructive surgery, where careful, layered separation of skin and soft tissue supports both function and cosmetic outcome.
At five and three quarter inches, it is sized for close, controlled dissection within the confined surgical fields typical of facial and reconstructive procedures, and the curved blade allows the surgeon to follow the natural contour of tissue planes rather than cutting only in a straight line. It is used by plastic and reconstructive surgeons and their assistants during facelift, rhytidectomy and related procedures that depend on precise tissue dissection.
As a tungsten carbide instrument, it is handled with appropriate care during reprocessing but remains built for repeated sterilisation and continued reuse across many surgical cases.
