Sklar Econo Iris Forceps, Half Curved Serrated
A fine, disposable half-curved forceps with a serrated tip, used for precise tissue handling during ophthalmic and other delicate surgical procedures. Supplied disposable for single use.
The Econo Iris forceps from Sklar are a fine, disposable instrument used for detailed tissue handling in ophthalmic surgery and other procedures where a light, precise grip is needed. The tip is half curved, a slight bend along the working end that can improve the surgeon's line of sight to the tip during close work compared with a fully straight forceps, while the serrated pattern provides secure grip on delicate tissue without excessive crushing force.
At around four and a quarter inches, the forceps are compact and lightweight, matching the scale of ophthalmic and other fine microsurgical procedures rather than general tissue handling elsewhere in the body. Supplied disposable, the forceps arrive with a sharp, precisely aligned tip for every case and are discarded afterward, which is particularly important for a fine instrument where even small tip damage from repeated sterilisation can noticeably affect grip performance on delicate tissue.
Ophthalmic clinics and theatres performing routine eye surgery commonly keep this pattern well stocked given how frequently it is used across procedures. Packed twelve to a box, it suits steady daily restocking needs.
