Sklar Econo Crile Hemostatic Forceps, Straight
A disposable ratcheted hemostatic forceps used to clamp blood vessels and control bleeding during surgery, available with curved or straight jaws. Supplied disposable for single use and packed 12 to a unit for routine clinic and hospital stock.
The Econo Crile hemostatic forceps from Sklar are a disposable ring-handled clamp used throughout surgery to grasp and occlude blood vessels, controlling bleeding at the operative site. The serrated jaws run the full length of the tip, which is a defining feature of the Crile pattern and gives a wider clamping surface than shorter-jawed hemostats such as a mosquito forceps, suiting slightly larger vessels and tissue bundles.
This listing covers both a curved and a straight jaw at five and a half inches, letting the surgeon choose the configuration that best matches the angle of approach to the bleeding vessel. A ratcheted box lock allows the clamp to be left in place on the tissue while the surgeon continues working elsewhere in the field.
Supplied disposable, the forceps are used for a single case and discarded, keeping the serrations sharp and the lock mechanism reliable throughout. General, vascular, and orthopaedic surgery departments use hemostatic forceps of this type in high volume during almost every procedure. Packed twelve to a box, they are a routine, high-turnover stock item for any operating theatre.
