Sklar Econo Braun Episiotomy Scissors, Angled
A disposable angled scissors used by obstetric staff to perform a controlled episiotomy incision during vaginal delivery. Supplied disposable for single use. It supports fast, controlled cutting during vaginal delivery in the labour room setting.
The Econo Braun episiotomy scissors from Sklar are a disposable instrument purpose-built for the episiotomy incision performed during vaginal delivery. The blades are angled rather than straight, a design feature of the Braun pattern that lets the clinician approach the perineal tissue at the correct angle for a clean, controlled cut while keeping the handle in a natural, comfortable grip position during a fast-moving delivery.
At around five and a half inches, the scissors are sized for quick, precise use in the delivery room rather than for general tissue dissection elsewhere. Supplied disposable, the scissors are used once and discarded, which matters both for infection control around a delivery and for cutting performance, since a disposable blade has not been dulled by prior sterilisation cycles the way a reused instrument can be.
Labour wards, delivery suites, and obstetric units keep this instrument readily available as part of standard delivery equipment, often stocked alongside other obstetric instrument sets. Packed twelve to a box, it is a routine consumable for maternity departments with regular delivery volume.
