Sklar Econo Backhaus Towel Clamp
A disposable, sharp-pointed towel clamp used to secure surgical drapes and towels to the patient and to the operative field during a procedure. Supplied disposable for single use and packed 12 to a unit for routine clinic and hospital stock.
The Econo Backhaus towel clamp from Sklar is a disposable instrument used throughout surgery to hold drapes and towels securely in position around the operative site. Its two curved, pointed tips pierce through layered drape material and lock together with a ratcheted handle, keeping the sterile field intact and preventing drapes from shifting as the surgical team works.
This listing covers two lengths, three and a half inches and five and a quarter inches, giving theatre staff a choice depending on the drape thickness and the number of clamp points needed around a given field. Being disposable, the clamp is used once and discarded, so the tips stay sharp and the lock mechanism has not been weakened by repeated sterilisation, which can be a concern with reusable towel clamps over time.
Surgical teams commonly use several of these clamps per case to secure the draping at multiple points. Supplied twelve to a box, they are a routine consumable stock item for any operating theatre or procedure room performing sterile draping.
