Sklar Cooley-Derra Anastomosis Clamp, Small
A small 6-1/2 inch anastomosis clamp used to occlude vessels gently during vascular and cardiovascular surgery, available in small, medium and large profiles.
The Sklar Cooley-Derra Anastomosis Clamp is a vascular clamp used to gently occlude a blood vessel during anastomosis in cardiovascular and vascular surgery, offered here in a small profile at 6-1/2 inches as part of a range that also includes medium and large profiles at 7 inches and 7-1/4 inches respectively.
Having the clamp available across three profiles allows the surgical team to match the jaw size and overall instrument length to the diameter of the vessel and the depth of the surgical field, from smaller peripheral vessels accessed through a limited approach to larger vessels in a more open field.
Like other Cooley-family clamps, its jaw design is intended to hold the vessel securely while minimizing crushing force on the vessel wall, protecting the tissue that will form part of the anastomosis. This clamp is used during procedures such as bypass grafting, aneurysm repair and vessel reconstruction, where temporary, controlled occlusion of a specific vessel segment is required.
Cardiovascular and vascular surgeons and their surgical teams rely on this range of sizes as part of a comprehensive vascular clamp set. As a reusable stainless steel instrument, it is cleaned, inspected and sterilized between surgical cases.
