Sklar Brophy (Sullivan) Scissors, Straight 6 Inch
A straight 6 inch scissors used for fine, controlled tissue cutting during cleft palate repair and related reconstructive surgical procedures, for use in hospitals and surgical centers.
The Sklar Brophy (Sullivan) Scissors is a variant within the Brophy cleft palate instrument family, named for the Sullivan modification of the original pattern, and is used to make precise cuts in soft tissue during palate and reconstructive surgery. At a straight 6 inches overall, it is sized for work within the confined space of the oral cavity and palate.
This is a single configuration listing, sold as an individual instrument. Like other Brophy family instruments, it is intended to be used alongside related forceps and needles from the same line during the same procedure, giving the surgical team a matched set of fine instruments for cleft repair. It is intended for use by trained plastic and craniofacial surgical staff, and as a fine reusable scissors it is cleaned, inspected and sterilised between cases.
