The Sklar Bozeman Uterine Dressing Forceps is designed with a distinctive S-curve along its 10-1/4 inch shaft, following the natural angle of the vaginal canal and uterus so the surgeon can reach and work in that space more comfortably than with a straight instrument. It is used mainly to pack gauze or dressings into the uterine cavity, or to handle tissue at that depth, during vaginal and uterine gynecologic procedures.
This is a single configuration listing, sold as an individual instrument. The Bozeman pattern is a long-established design in gynecologic surgery, and this forceps is intended for use by trained gynecologic surgical staff as part of a vaginal hysterectomy or uterine procedure tray, cleaned and sterilised between cases like other reusable gynecologic instruments.
