Sklar Bonney Tissue Forceps, Toothed
A toothed tissue forceps used to apply secure traction on tissue during surgery, available in three lengths and tooth pattern combinations, for use in hospitals and surgical centers.
The Sklar Bonney Tissue Forceps uses a toothed jaw rather than a plain serrated one, giving the surgeon a firmer bite on tissue when strong traction is needed, such as when holding skin or fascia steady for suturing. 5mm tip, alongside shorter lengths with different tooth arrangements, letting the surgical team choose both the reach and the grip pattern that suits the procedure.
Because the teeth interlock when the jaws close, this style of forceps holds tissue with less slippage than a plain serrated jaw, at the cost of leaving small puncture marks, so it is generally reserved for tissue that will be excised or is otherwise tolerant of that mark. It is intended for use by trained surgical staff across general and reconstructive surgery, and is cleaned and sterilised between cases like other reusable forceps.
