Sklar Bipolar Tenzel Forceps, 0.5mm Tip
A fine tipped bipolar forceps from Sklar with a 0.5mm tip, based on the Tenzel pattern, used by oculoplastic surgeons for delicate coagulation during eyelid procedures.
The Sklar Bipolar Tenzel Forceps are based on the Tenzel forceps pattern, a design associated with oculoplastic and eyelid reconstruction work. 5mm tip, the bipolar version allows the surgeon to coagulate small vessels with precision in the delicate tissue around the eye. When connected to a compatible bipolar generator and cable, current passes only between the two tips, limiting the spread of heat to surrounding structures and helping protect fine periocular tissue during surgery.
These forceps are used mainly by oculoplastic and ophthalmic surgeons performing eyelid, lacrimal and reconstructive procedures around the eye where careful haemostasis matters. As with other bipolar microsurgical instruments, it must be used with a compatible generator and cable rather than functioning as a standard grasping forceps.
Being a fine reusable instrument, it needs careful cleaning, tip inspection and sterilization between cases. Ophthalmic and oculoplastic surgical centres across the UAE and GCC stock Tenzel pattern bipolar forceps for eyelid surgery.
