Sklar Bipolar Gerald Bayonet Dressing Forceps
A bayonet shaped bipolar forceps from Sklar with a straight smooth 1mm tip, used by surgeons for coagulation in deep or narrow surgical fields with clear sight lines.
The Sklar Bipolar Gerald Bayonet Dressing Forceps combine the Gerald forceps grip with a bayonet shaped shaft, offsetting the tip from the surgeon's hand so the instrument itself does not block the view down into a deep or narrow surgical field. The straight, smooth 1mm tip is designed for bipolar coagulation, applying controlled heat only between the two tips when connected to a compatible bipolar generator and cable.
This design is especially useful in procedures such as neurosurgery or deep soft tissue surgery, where the surgeon needs an unobstructed line of sight while coagulating small vessels near the surgical target. The forceps are used by surgeons and surgical assistants trained in bipolar technique, typically alongside other microsurgical instruments on the tray.
As a reusable precision instrument, it must be cleaned, checked for tip alignment and sterilized between cases. Hospitals and surgical centres across the UAE and GCC stock bayonet bipolar forceps for deep field coagulation work.
