Sklar ACL Tip Aimer, Left and Right
An orthopaedic aiming instrument used to guide drill placement during ACL reconstruction surgery, available with an O-Tip in left or right versions.
The Sklar ACL Tip Aimer is an orthopaedic guide instrument used during anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction surgery to direct the surgeon's drill to a precise, planned point on the bone when creating the tunnel that will hold the ligament graft. This listing includes both left hand and right hand versions of the aimer, along with an O-Tip configuration, letting the surgical team match the instrument to the patient's operated knee side and the specific tip geometry the surgical technique calls for.
Accurate aiming is critical in ACL reconstruction, since the position and angle of the bone tunnels directly affects graft tension and how the reconstructed ligament performs once the patient returns to activity, which is why a dedicated aimer is used instead of drilling freehand. Orthopaedic surgical teams keep this instrument as part of a broader ACL reconstruction tray, used together with related guide and handle components.
As a reusable stainless instrument, it is sterilised between cases.
