Relitape Microporous Tape, Low-Allergy Paper Tape
A non-stretch, low-allergy paper tape with high tensile strength, used to immobilise joints and secure dressings, and supplied in three widths for general clinical use.
Relitape Microporous Tape is a non-stretch paper tape built for rigid support rather than flexibility, which makes it useful for immobilising joints as well as for the more everyday job of holding a dressing in place. Its high tensile strength means it resists stretching and slipping once it is applied, while the tape itself tears easily by hand so staff do not need scissors to cut a length to size at the bedside.
It is described as a low-allergy, multi-use paper tape, chosen for patients with sensitive skin who might otherwise react to a stronger adhesive. Each roll is individually boxed, which keeps the tape clean and hygienic in storage between uses on a treatment trolley or in a first aid kit. 25 cm width up to a wider 5 cm width, in roll lengths from 1 m to 10 m, with select widths also available in packs of 12 or 24 rolls for busier clinics.
