Reliance Sterile Paraffin Gauze BP, 10cm x 10cm
Sterile paraffin gauze BP dressing measuring 10cm by 10cm, supplied in packs of 10, used as a low adherent primary layer directly over open wounds.
Paraffin gauze BP is a sterile, low adherent dressing impregnated with soft paraffin, designed to be placed directly onto an open wound as a primary contact layer before a secondary absorbent dressing is applied on top. The paraffin coating helps stop the gauze sticking to the wound bed, reducing pain and disturbance to healing tissue when the dressing is changed compared with a plain gauze pad.
This listing covers the 10cm by 10cm size, supplied sterile in packs of 10, giving a convenient quantity for restocking a treatment room or dressing trolley. It is used across a range of wound types where a non-adherent primary layer is wanted, including minor burns, grazes, surgical wounds and skin graft donor sites, and is a familiar item to nurses, doctors and wound care specialists.
Because it meets the British Pharmacopoeia BP standard for this product type, it is manufactured to a recognised, consistent specification for clinical use.
