The Olaes Modular Bandage is a trauma dressing used by military medics, tactical responders and civilian first aiders who need one product that can adapt to several roles on the same casualty. Hook and loop control strips are built into the elastic wrap to stop it unrolling accidentally once it has been applied, keeping pressure consistent while the casualty is moved.
A true pressure cup within the dressing generates focused pressure directly over the wound site, which helps assist in occluding damaged vessels during active bleeding, and following the CoTCCC guidelines the same cup can also be repurposed as a rigid eye shield if the injury is ocular rather than a limb wound.
An occlusive plastic sheet sits behind the wound pad to increase the dressing's versatility for different wound types, and it is built around a sterile gauze core for direct wound contact.
