The CoolTherm Burn Relief Dressing is a sterile trauma hydrogel dressing used by first aiders and clinical staff to treat minor to moderate burns immediately after injury. The non-woven, gel based carrier dressing cools and soothes the burnt area on contact, which helps minimise further trauma and skin damage compared with leaving a burn untreated or covering it with an unsuitable dry dressing.
Its non-adherent, non-toxic surface is designed so the dressing does not stick to burnt skin, reducing pain and tissue disruption when it is eventually removed or changed. The dressing is conformable, allowing it to be shaped around the injured area so the whole burn is covered rather than just the flat centre of the wound.
It is benchmarked to the accepted industry standard for burns dressings and has more than twenty years of safe clinical use behind it, with a five year shelf life that suits stock rotation in first aid cabinets.
