Dependaplast Children's Washproof Plasters are designed to make wearing a plaster a little more appealing for younger patients, using a fun handprint design on the outer surface rather than a plain, clinical looking plaster. Despite the playful appearance, the plasters are built with the same practical features expected of a good quality washproof plaster, including a flexible PU plastic film that keeps the plaster thin and flexible while still resisting water during handwashing or bath time.
The membrane is moisture vapour permeable, allowing the skin underneath to breathe naturally rather than becoming damp or irritated under an airtight covering, and this is achieved without the need for physical perforations that could let water or dirt in, since the material itself manages moisture exchange while keeping the adhesive securely in place.
An acrylic, low allergy adhesive is used to reduce the risk of skin irritation on sensitive young skin. The plasters are supplied in an assorted box of 100, giving parents, schools and childcare providers a ready stock of a range of sizes for typical childhood cuts and grazes.
