The BS8599-1 Workplace First Aid Kit, Boxed brings the standard workplace first aid contents together in a rigid storage box rather than a soft bag, suiting workplaces that prefer a fixed wall mounted or shelf stored kit. Three box models are available, the Cambridge for larger teams, the Oxford for medium sized teams and the Durham for smaller workplaces, with the contents scaled up accordingly across each size.
The largest, Cambridge configuration includes two conforming bandages, three triangular bandages, two burn dressings, three eye pad dressings, three finger dressings, four HSE medium dressings and three HSE large dressings, alongside two foil blankets and nine pairs of gloves to support repeated use by different staff members.
Sixty assorted washproof plasters cover routine minor injuries, while a resuscitation face shield, shears, two rolls of microporous tape and thirty cleansing wipes complete the contents for wound cleaning and dressing retention. A guidance leaflet is included in every size, helping an untrained colleague respond appropriately before a trained first aider arrives.
