The BS8599-1 Travel First Aid Kit is intended for lone workers, travelling staff and small teams who need a workplace standard first aid kit that is still compact enough to carry easily. It follows the BS8599-1 kit contents guidance, combining a conforming bandage and a triangular bandage for support and slinging, a burn dressing for scalds or minor burns, and an eye pad dressing with attached bandage together with a bottle of eye wash for eye irritation or foreign body incidents.
HSE medium and large dressings cover a range of wound sizes, while a foil blanket helps manage shock or exposure during transport to further care. A pair of gloves protects the first aider, and ten assorted washproof plasters handle minor cuts and grazes that occur most often day to day. A resuscitation face shield supports safer rescue breaths, safety pins and microporous tape assist with securing dressings, and cleansing wipes are included for basic wound cleaning before a dressing is applied.
A guidance leaflet rounds out the kit for less experienced users.
