A ready packed kit of wipes, a razor, gloves and other supplies used to quickly prepare a casualty's chest for defibrillator pad placement in an emergency.
The AED Prep Kit is designed to sit alongside a defibrillator so that responders have everything they need to prepare a casualty for pad placement without searching for separate supplies during a cardiac emergency. Chest hair, sweat and moisture can all interfere with defibrillator pad contact, so the kit includes a disposable razor for quickly clearing hair from the chest and cleansing wipes to dry and clean the skin before the pads are applied.
A pair of gloves is included to protect the responder during hands on care, along with hand towels for general clean up around the incident. A resuscitation device is also packed in the kit to support rescue breaths during CPR, and shears are included so that clothing can be cut away quickly to expose the chest without wasting time on buttons or zips.
Together these items are aimed at workplaces, gyms, schools and public venues that have an AED installed and want a dedicated prep kit ready at the same location for genuine emergencies.
