Dependaplast Advanced Blister Plasters are designed to treat an existing blister quickly and simply, using hydrocolloid technology to create a protective, cushioning barrier over the affected skin. Once applied, the plaster is intended to relieve pain from the blister almost instantly, while also protecting the area from further rubbing against footwear or clothing that could make the blister worse or cause it to burst prematurely.
The hydrocolloid material is designed to promote faster healing underneath the plaster and to stay in place for an extended period rather than needing frequent changing, while also repelling water, dirt and bacteria that could otherwise increase the risk of infection at the blister site. Application is described as simple, following an easy, three step process that makes the plaster accessible to users without medical training.
The box contains five plasters split across two sizes, with two of the smaller 52 by 28 millimetre plasters and three of the larger 68 by 43 millimetre plasters, giving users a choice of size depending on the location and severity of the blister being treated.
