Reliance Finger Dressing with Adhesive Fix
A finger dressing with a low adherent pad on a soft bandage, designed so an injured person can dress their own finger when a plaster is not quite adequate.
This finger dressing is packaged and designed so that an injured person can apply it to their own finger, aimed at situations where a standard plaster does not give enough coverage or support. The low adherent pad sits against the wound and is attached to a soft bandage that wraps around the finger, holding the pad in place without needing separate tape.
Small and large versions of the dressing both include a small peelable tab that exposes a sticky patch, used to secure the end of the bandage once it has been wrapped, making the whole application simple even for someone treating themselves one handed. This kind of dressing suits finger cuts, minor lacerations or nail bed injuries that are awkward to bandage conventionally, and is a common item in workplace, home and sports first aid kits.
It gives a step up from a basic plaster while remaining quick and straightforward enough for self application without needing a second person to help.
