Pin Index Regulator, Aluminium Body
An aluminium bodied pin index regulator with a brass inlet retainer, relief valve and dial flow control, used to control oxygen delivery from a cylinder.
The Pin Index Regulator attaches to an oxygen cylinder to control the flow of gas delivered to a patient. Its aluminium body keeps the unit lightweight without sacrificing strength, while a brass inlet retainer connects securely to the pin index valve on standard oxygen cylinders. A relief valve protects the system from overpressure, and the piston and rotor flow control mechanism allows a caregiver to dial in the exact litres per minute a patient needs, up to a maximum of 25 litres per minute at a rated 3000 PSI cylinder pressure.
Silicone O rings are used throughout the connections to maintain a reliable, leak resistant seal over repeated use. Regulators like this are standard equipment for ambulances, hospital wards, home oxygen therapy and any setting where oxygen is supplied from a portable cylinder rather than a wall outlet, and they are typically handled by respiratory therapists, paramedics and nursing staff responsible for oxygen administration.
