Otoscope Ophthalmoscope Combo Diagnostic Set
A combined otoscope and ophthalmoscope diagnostic set with an LED or halogen light source and 3x magnifying lens, used for routine ear and eye examinations.
This Otoscope-Ophthalmoscope Combo Diagnostic Set brings together the two handheld instruments most commonly used for routine ear and eye examination in one kit. The otoscope portion is used for examining the outer ear, ear canal and eardrum, helping diagnose conditions such as ear infections, earwax buildup, fluid behind the eardrum and eardrum perforations during a standard consultation.
It is built with a light source, typically LED or halogen, and a magnifying lens offering around 3x magnification, giving the clinician a brighter, clearer view into the ear canal than the naked eye alone. A removable or disposable speculum forms the tip that actually enters the ear canal, allowing a fresh tip to be used for each patient where infection control requires it.
Paired with an ophthalmoscope for examining the interior structures of the eye, the set gives general practitioners, paediatricians and primary care clinics the two instruments most often reached for during a routine physical examination in one combined kit. Clinics and general practices use a combo set like this as everyday diagnostic equipment for outpatient consultations.
