Osseodensification Burs Kit for Implant Site Preparation
This bur kit is used for osseodensification implant site preparation, and is compatible with implants up to 6.0mm and switchable between cutting and bone densifying modes.
This osseodensification bur kit is used to prepare implant sites by compacting surrounding bone rather than only removing it, which can be useful in softer bone where extra density around the implant is wanted before placement. 0 millimetres, covering most implant diameters a general or specialist implant practice would place.
The flute design allows the same bur to be run in two modes: a clockwise cutting mode and a counterclockwise densifying mode, both operated between 800 and 1500 RPM, so the clinician can move between conventional drilling and bone compaction without changing instruments. The set includes two parallel pins used to help maintain drilling alignment across the site.
This type of kit is used by oral surgeons, periodontists and implant dentists, most often in the posterior maxilla and other areas where bone density is a concern before implant placement.
