Nihon Kohden AED with Fast Rhythm Analysis
A Nihon Kohden automated external defibrillator that analyses heart rhythm in under 8 seconds and guides rescuers through a simple 3-step process. It is commonly stocked by hospitals, clinics and emergency response teams across the UAE and wider GCC market.
5 seconds in some cases, helping reduce the delay between arriving at a patient and delivering a shock if one is needed. Operation follows a simple three step process: open the lid, attach the pads to the patient, and press the shock button, which keeps the sequence straightforward even for a rescuer with limited training.
An adult and child mode switch reduces the delivered energy for paediatric patients without requiring a change of pads, cutting down on setup steps during a stressful situation. Delivered energy for adults follows a 150, 200, 200 joule sequence, while the child setting delivers 50, 70, 70 joules across escalating shocks.
5 hours of continuous monitoring, with a standby life of up to 4 years. Its compact 206 by 252 by 97 mm housing and IP55 rating make it practical for workplaces, transport hubs and public access defibrillation locations.
