Nasco TPN and CVC Heart Catheterization Simulator
A Nasco Healthcare training simulator for central venous catheterization, with palpable landmarks and removable skin revealing veins and arteries. It is a practical choice for hospitals, clinics and healthcare distributors across the UAE and wider GCC region.
The Heart Catheterization Simulator for TPN and CVC, also referred to as the Life/form TPN Simulator, is used to train residents and clinical staff in the technique of performing central venous catheterization. All of the appropriate anatomical landmarks are palpable on the model, allowing trainees to practise realistic identification of insertion sites the way they would need to on an actual patient before attempting a needle placement.
The synthetic skin can be removed from the shoulder area to reveal the dissected musculature and the location of veins, arteries and other relevant landmarks underneath, giving instructors a way to show trainees exactly what lies beneath the surface before they practise with the skin back in place. With the skin fitted, trainees insert the needle introducer as they would during a real procedure, building hands-on technique in a low-risk training environment.
At 28 by 17 by 10 inches, the simulator is sized for classroom and simulation lab use. Nursing schools, critical care training programmes and hospital simulation centres use manikins like this to build central line placement competency before staff perform the procedure on real patients.
