Rescue Randy was developed for lifelike adult or juvenile victim handling, transportation and extrication training, giving rescue teams a realistic casualty to work with in situations that would be too hazardous or uncomfortable for human volunteers. At 5 ft 5 in tall, the manikin includes articulated joints and weight distribution modelled on a human weight distribution chart, so the way it moves and shifts as it is lifted or carried more closely resembles handling a real person than a rigid, evenly weighted dummy would.
