Nasco Flexible Rescue Randy, Confined Space Training
A Nasco Healthcare rescue training manikin with a flexing waist and twisting head, built for confined space and wing tank fuel cell rescue drills. It is a dependable choice for regional buyers.
The Flexible Rescue Randy is a rescue training manikin developed specifically for the aerospace industry and wing tank fuel cell rescue training, though it can also be used for confined space rescue exercises more generally. At 5 ft 5 in tall, it goes beyond the flexibility of a regular Rescue Randy manikin because its waist flexes and its head twists, allowing trainers to position the manikin under dashboards, in tight spots and under obstacles where a standard rigid manikin simply would not fit.
This added range of motion makes it particularly useful for practising extrication and rescue techniques in genuinely confined or awkwardly shaped spaces, rather than the more open scenarios that a standard training manikin is built for. At 50 by 21 by 11 inches and shipping at around 61 lbs, it remains manageable for trainers to position and reposition repeatedly during a training session.
Aerospace maintenance and rescue teams, confined space rescue units, and fire and industrial rescue services use manikins like the Flexible Rescue Randy to prepare personnel for extrication scenarios that a standard training dummy cannot realistically simulate.
