Mediana Body Composition Analyzer, Touch LCD
A Mediana body composition analyzer that uses bioelectrical impedance to measure muscle mass, body fat and hydration on a color touch display. It is commonly stocked by hospitals, clinics and emergency response teams across the UAE and wider GCC market.
The Mediana Body Composition Analyzer is a diagnostic instrument that measures a patient's body composition using bioelectrical impedance analysis, a technique that passes a very small, safe electrical current through the body and interprets the resistance to estimate muscle mass, body fat percentage, hydration status and related metrics.
Results are shown on a 7 inch colour touch LCD screen designed to present the data in a format that is easy for both clinicians and patients to interpret. The device includes multiple external interfaces, including RS232, USB and LAN connections, allowing it to integrate with clinic systems or export data for record keeping.
Input can be handled through a keypad or the touch screen itself, giving flexibility for different clinic workflows. Body composition analysis of this kind is used in wellness clinics, sports medicine practices, endocrinology and nutrition departments, and general health screening programmes to track a patient's health profile over time or assess candidates for weight management and fitness programmes.
It gives practitioners a more detailed picture of a patient's condition than weight or BMI alone can provide.
