The Hospital Infant Baby Crib is designed for use in maternity wards and neonatal units, providing a safe, secure space for newborns while they remain under hospital care. The crib uses a warm, comfortable colour scheme rather than a purely clinical appearance, aiming to feel welcoming to both babies and their families during a hospital stay.
A fence-type movable switch is built into both sides of the crib and can be adjusted by stages, allowing staff to effectively prevent infants from accidentally climbing or falling out as they grow more mobile during their stay. Structurally, the crib measures 1900 by 900 by 1270 millimetres overall, with a bed area of 1770 by 705 millimetres and a bed height from the ground of 670 millimetres, dimensions chosen to suit standard hospital nursery layouts and staff working height.
Casters with a diameter of 125 millimetres are fitted, four of which are braked, with the back wheels tilted upward for stability, letting nurses reposition the crib around the ward safely while keeping it locked steady once placed.
