The MultiMed 5 pod is a multiparameter patient cable that gathers ECG, respiration, SpO2 and temperature into a single connection to the monitor. The five-lead designation refers to the ECG configuration it supports. Consolidating four parameters into one pod reduces the number of separate leads running between the patient and the monitor, which shortens the connection routine at the start of a case and leaves fewer cables to manage around the table.
