The Fabius Tiro is the compact model in the Dräger Fabius family. It combines fresh-gas delivery, a circle breathing system with carbon dioxide absorber and an electrically driven piston ventilator in a narrow chassis with a small floor footprint. Ventilation and gas data are shown on an integrated display.
The reduced footprint is the defining characteristic, making it suitable for rooms where a full-width workstation would obstruct access. The Fabius Tiro is used in general operating rooms, day-surgery units, endoscopy and procedure rooms, and in remote anaesthesia locations away from the main theatre suite.
It accepts the Dräger anaesthesia breathing sets in this category, including the Anaesthesia Set Basic and Set Flex, the VentStar range and the neonatal VentStar (N) and BlueSet options, covering adult, paediatric and neonatal patients. The CLIC absorber adapter, disposable face masks and silicone bags are compatible.
