Bionex Root Canal Spreader, Stainless Steel
A stainless steel endodontic spreader used to compact gutta percha points laterally against the canal wall during root canal filling procedures, designed for consistent results in routine treatment.
The Root Canal Spreader is an endodontic hand instrument used during the obturation stage of root canal treatment. Its tapered, pointed tip is pressed alongside a primary gutta percha point already seated in the canal, compacting it laterally against the canal wall to create space for additional accessory points.
This lateral condensation technique helps the operator achieve a dense, well adapted fill along the length of the root canal system. Made from stainless steel, the spreader is built as a reusable hand instrument that can withstand repeated autoclave sterilization between patients, a requirement in any endodontic setting.
It is typically supplied as part of a broader endodontic hand instrument range alongside pluggers, excavators and files. Spreaders of this type are used by general dentists performing endodontic treatment as well as by endodontists, and are considered a basic requirement for any practice offering root canal therapy.
