Bionex Kocher-Luca Bayonet Forceps
An autoclavable stainless steel bayonet shaped forceps used in surgery to grasp tissue in deep or narrow surgical fields without obstructing the view.
The Bionex Kocher-Luca Bayonet Forceps is a stainless steel grasping instrument built with an offset, bayonet style shaft, a design that keeps the surgeon's hand and the instrument body out of the direct line of sight while the tip works deep in a narrow surgical field. This shape is especially useful in procedures where the working area is deep or the field of view is limited, such as certain ENT, neurosurgical and spinal procedures, letting the surgeon see and access the target tissue without the instrument itself blocking the view.
Its jaws are designed to grip tissue or small fragments securely, supporting tasks such as removing debris, holding tissue steady during dissection, or retrieving small pieces of material from within the surgical field. Made from stainless steel, it is autoclavable and built to withstand the repeated sterilisation cycles expected of reusable surgical instruments in a hospital operating theatre.
Neurosurgeons, ENT surgeons and spine surgeons working in confined surgical fields rely on bayonet style forceps like this as a standard part of their specialised instrument sets. As with other reusable stainless steel instruments, it must be cleaned, disinfected and sterilised between patients.
