Bionex Endodontic Excavators, Stainless Steel
A stainless steel excavator used in endodontic procedures to remove decayed dentin and debris from a tooth before and during root canal treatment, useful across a range of everyday procedures.
Endodontic Excavators are spoon shaped hand instruments used to remove soft decayed dentin and loose debris from a tooth during cavity preparation and endodontic access. The sharp edged, scoop like working end allows the operator to scrape and lift out compromised tissue without relying solely on rotary instruments, giving added tactile control near the pulp chamber.
This makes the excavator useful both in general restorative dentistry, when clearing out caries before a filling is placed, and in endodontics, when opening and cleaning the pulp chamber ahead of canal instrumentation. Made from stainless steel, the excavator is designed as a reusable instrument suitable for routine autoclave sterilization between patients.
It is a basic item found on most restorative and endodontic instrument trays, used by general dentists, endodontists and dental students as part of everyday cavity preparation and root canal access procedures.
