Bionex Dycal Applicator, Stainless Steel
A stainless steel applicator instrument used by dentists to place calcium hydroxide lining material precisely into a deep cavity before final restoration, reliable performance for everyday clinical use.
The Dycal Applicator is a fine tipped hand instrument used to place calcium hydroxide or similar lining materials into the deepest part of a cavity preparation, close to the pulp, before the final restoration is placed. Its small, precise working tip allows the operator to deliver a thin, controlled amount of liner exactly where it is needed, protecting the pulp and supporting the tooth's natural healing response beneath a filling.
Made from stainless steel, the applicator is a reusable instrument designed for routine autoclave sterilization between patients, as is standard for restorative hand instruments. It is typically kept alongside carvers, pluggers and excavators on a general restorative tray and used at the base lining stage of a direct restoration, before the bulk filling material is placed.
This instrument is used daily by general dentists and dental students carrying out deep restorative work where pulp protection is a consideration.
